Centrica (GB:CNA) has released an update.
Centrica plc has actively continued its share repurchase program, buying back 2,015,000 of its own shares at an average price of 139.2087 pence per share, to be held as treasury shares. This recent purchase is a part of the larger buyback initiative announced in October 2023, which has seen the company acquire a total of 307,897,728 shares at a cost of over £427 million. After this transaction, Centrica holds more than 543 million shares in treasury and maintains over 5 billion shares in issue, excluding those held in treasury.
