Strong Revenue Growth
Hitachi reported Q2 revenues of JPY 2,096.5 billion, marking a 13% year-on-year increase. The first half of the year saw revenues of JPY 3,924.8 billion, a 12% increase year-on-year.
Upward Revision of Full-Year Forecast
The full-year forecast for continuing consolidated business has been revised upward, with expected revenues of JPY 8 trillion (2% increase from the previous forecast) and adjusted EBITA of JPY 818 billion (up by JPY 18 billion).
Robust Order Growth
Q2 orders for Digital Systems & Services increased by 15% year-on-year, and Hitachi Energy orders increased by 14% year-on-year. The backlog for Hitachi Energy reached JPY 3.9 trillion.
Improved Shareholder Returns
A JPY 100 billion share buyback was completed in September, and the interim dividend is planned to be JPY 80 per share, a JPY 10 increase from fiscal year 2022.
Lumada Business Growth
Lumada business revenues are expected to increase by 18% year-on-year, reaching JPY 2.31 trillion, with an adjusted EBITA margin of 15%.
GlobalLogic's Strong Performance
GlobalLogic showed very strong growth with a 21% increase in revenues year-on-year, maintaining a high adjusted EBITA margin of 20%.
