Worldsec Limited reports a turnaround from a 2022 loss of US$843,000 to a 2023 profit of US$58,000, primarily due to a significant disposal gain from Velocity Mobile Limited. Despite global economic challenges and a decline in private equity and venture capital sectors, the company remains cautiously optimistic with a cash reserve boost from the disposal. Investment focus continues on small to medium-sized companies in Greater China and Southeast Asia, with an expanded investment policy allowing broader opportunities.
