TotalEnergies SE (FR:TTE) has released an update.
TotalEnergies SE has acquired a 50% stake in the 795 MW OranjeWind offshore wind farm to produce green hydrogen for its European refineries, aiming to reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 400,000 tons per year. This move is part of the company’s strategy to decrease its net greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030 from the 2015 levels. The project, which also contributes to Dutch grid stability, marks a significant step in TotalEnergies’ commitment to the energy transition in Europe.
