TotalEnergies SE is streamlining its operations in Nigeria by selling its 10% stake in the oil-producing licenses of the SPDC JV to Chappal Energies, while retaining its interest in licenses crucial for supplying gas to Nigeria LNG. This $860 million deal enables TotalEnergies to concentrate on its offshore oil and integrated gas value chain in Nigeria, ensuring future gas supply to Nigeria LNG. The transaction is pending customary regulatory approvals.
