TotalEnergies and SSE have announced the creation of a joint venture named ‘Source’ to establish a significant presence in the EV charging sector in the UK and Ireland, planning to install up to 3000 high power charge points across 300 hubs in five years. This move is in response to rising demand for EV infrastructure due to new zero emissions mandates and aims to support the transition to decarbonized transport. The initiative aligns with TotalEnergies’ broader strategy to expand its EV charging network across Europe.
