Spectris (GB:SXS) has released an update.
Spectris plc has announced the strategic acquisition of Micromeritics Instrument Corporation for $630 million with additional performance-based payments, aiming to create a global market leader in particle characterization. The deal, expected to be immediately accretive to Spectris’ earnings and synergistic with its existing operations, is set to complete in Q3 2024. The acquisition will be financed through cash and new debt, keeping leverage low, and will see Micromeritics’ CEO become President of Malvern Panalytical.
