Sony Group Advances Share Buyback Program

Sony Group (SONY) has released an update.

Sony Group Corporation reports a repurchase of 674,200 shares in May 2024, amounting to 8.52 billion yen, marking a modest 2.25% progress of their latest buyback program with a maximum target of 30 million shares. This follows a concluded repurchase program that achieved 61.77% of its goal, with 15.44 million shares bought back. The company also announced a stock split effective October 1, 2024, adjusting the total shares for repurchase to 150 million.
