Mondi plc reported a solid first quarter in 2024 with increased sales volumes in paper products and stable costs, yielding an underlying EBITDA of €214 million, despite a one-off loss from currency devaluation. The company also rewarded shareholders with a €1.60 per share special dividend following the sale of its Russian assets. CEO Andrew King expressed confidence in the company’s positioning to capitalize on growing market demand and ongoing investment projects.
