Lucapa Diamond Reports Resilient Q1 Sales

Lucapa Diamond Co. has reported a mixed quarter, with Lulo mine’s revenue at $9.4 million from 8,746 carats, and Mothae mine’s at $3.7 million for 7,662 carats, despite setbacks from heavy rainfall and lower-grade mining areas. A subsequent high-value diamond sale post-quarter netted $10.5 million, signaling a positive start to the next quarter. Overall, diamond production slightly decreased, while sales volume increased by 22%, showcasing resilience amidst market recovery and high demand for larger stones.
