Invinity Energy Systems (GB:IES) has released an update.
Invinity Energy Systems has announced the sale of 4 MWh of their vanadium flow batteries to PowerFlex for a solar microgrid project funded by the California Energy Commission, with delivery expected by the end of 2024. This project, part of California’s aim to reach 52 GW of battery storage by 2045, demonstrates the state’s leadership in long-duration energy storage and Invinity’s commitment to renewable energy adoption. The batteries will provide the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians with reliable, low-carbon power from their expanded solar array, enhancing energy sustainability and sovereignty.
