Huaneng Power International, Inc. has successfully issued the sixth tranche of mid-term notes for 2024, amounting to RMB 2 billion with a 15-year maturity and a 2.44% interest rate. The funds raised from these notes, underwritten by leading financial institutions, will primarily be used for working capital enhancement, debt restructuring, and repayment of bank loans. This strategic financial move aligns with the company’s mandate received at the 2023 annual general meeting, allowing them to issue various debt financing instruments up to RMB 130 billion.
