HSBC Progresses with Share Buy-Back Program

HSBC Holdings (GB:HSBA) has released an update.

HSBC Holdings PLC has continued its share buy-back program, purchasing 3,821,434 of its own shares from Morgan Stanley for cancellation, with the highest price paid at £6.9300 per share. This recent transaction is part of a larger buy-back announced earlier on 7 May 2024, which has seen the company repurchase over 257 million shares for around US$2.25 billion. Following the cancellation, HSBC’s issued share capital will be reduced to 18,609,409,374 shares with voting rights.
