HSBC Continues Share Buy-Back Program

HSBC Holdings (GB:HSBA) has released an update.

HSBC Holdings plc has executed a share buy-back, purchasing a total of 6,420,523 ordinary shares on UK venues and 2,996,000 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on July 8, 2024, as part of its previously announced repurchase plan from May 7, 2024. Following the cancellation of these shares, the company’s issued share capital will be reduced to 18,555,660,785 ordinary shares with voting rights. Since the buy-back program began, HSBC has bought back 296,236,875 shares at a total cost of approximately $2.59 billion USD.
