Eni S.p.A. Buys Back Shares for Shareholder Value

Eni SPA (E) has released an update.

Eni S.p.A., an Italian multinational oil and gas company, has reported the purchase of 2,707,999 of its own shares from July 22 to July 26, 2024, amounting to a total expenditure of 38,298,316.25 euros. This acquisition is part of the second tranche of a treasury shares program initiated to provide additional shareholder remuneration beyond dividends. As of now, Eni holds 3.47% of its share capital through treasury shares, indicating a strategic move to manage its capital structure and potentially enhance shareholder value.
