Corcel PLC, a company engaged in exploration and production across Angola and Brazil, has announced that Scott Gilbert has successfully completed regulatory checks and is joining the company’s board as CEO. Gilbert holds a 1.02% stake in Corcel through 25 million shares and has options for over 31 million more. His appointment strengthens the board, which includes a mix of executive and non-executive directors, as the company continues to expand its footprint in the energy sector.
