Centrica (GB:CNA) has released an update.
Centrica PLC has announced the repurchase of 2 million of its own shares at a cost of 138.4482 pence per share, as part of an ongoing share repurchase program initiated in October 2023. This brings the total number of shares bought back under the program to nearly 284 million, at a total expenditure of over £394 million. These shares are to be held as treasury shares, with the total number of shares in issue now standing at over 5.25 billion, excluding treasury shares.
