Aseana Properties Limited, a Malaysian property developer listed on the London Stock Exchange, reported a net loss of US$10.7 million for 2023, an improvement from the US$17.6 million loss in 2022. Despite economic challenges, including high interest rates and robust property supply in Kuala Lumpur, the company is actively divesting assets, with significant progress expected in 2024. The financial statements have been prepared on a non-going concern basis due to uncertainties in completing asset sales and repaying outstanding debt.
