The U.S. could sign a chip deal with Saudi Arabia this week, according to a new report from The New York Times. The deal would provide Saudi Arabia with tens of thousands of chips from Nvidia (NVDA) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).

U.S. in Talks to Provide Chips to Emirati AI Company
Additionally, the U.S. is also in discussions to provide AI chips to G42, an Emirati AI firm. The Biden administration had previously scrutinized G42 for its connections to China.
“The U.S. must make itself the partner-of-choice for our friends and allies — otherwise others will fill that gap,” wrote White House AI and Crypto Czar David Sacks on X.
The news comes as Trump travels to the Middle East to visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
Nvidia (NVDA) closed higher by 5.44% on the report.
