TipRanks has compiled a list of Tuesday’s biggest pre-market stock movements.
Geopolitical issues and other variables seem to have dominated the stock market on Tuesday.
Using TipRanks’ new Top Stock Gainers/Losers page, we’ve identified the top five pre-market stock movers, as detailed below.
Biggest Movers
Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC) was the biggest gainer in the pre-market trading session, as the stock jumped over 33% at the time of writing. Former President Donald Trump’s social media startup, TRUTH Social, recently began allowing app downloads on the Apple (APPL) Store. Therefore, investors are optimistic as Digital World Acquisition will be merged with Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the parent of TRUTH Social, this year soon.
Meanwhile, Ozon Holdings PLC (OZON) tanked 17.2%, in the pre-market trading session, at the time of writing. There is no fundamental news explaining the trading frenzy of this multi-category e-commerce platform.
Another loser, Netherlands-based Yandex N.V. (YNDX) plummeted 15.5%, in the pre-market trading session, at last watch. It is an internet and technology company primarily for Russian and Russian-language users. Though there is no fundamental news explaining the downtrend, it seems that investors are concerned over the geopolitical tensions.
Mobile TeleSystems Public Joint Stock Company (MBT) slumped in the pre-market trading session, recording losses of around 12% at the time of writing. It is the largest mobile network operator in Russia, operating on GSM, UMTS and LTE standards. The negative sentiment seems to have followed the increasing concerns over the macro issues.
American payment processing company Shift4 Payments, Inc. (FOUR) rounded off the list. It declined 9.9%, in pre-market trade, at the last check. There is no fundamental news explaining the downtrend.
