After Amazon (AMZN) announced it is collaborating with X-energy to generate and deliver more than 5 gigawatts of new power projects across the U.S. by 2039, Stifel notes this represents the largest commercial deployment target of Small Modular Reactors, or SMRs, to date and also pointed out that Curtiss-Wright (CW) and X-energy signed a preferred strategic supplier agreement to advance the design and deployment of X-energy’s advanced reactor in September 2022. With $120M-plus of content on each reactor four-pack, the firm believes this contract alone could generate up to $1.5B-plus of revenue for Curtiss-Wright, the analyst tells investors. The firm, which notes that this announcement follow’s recent announcements from Google (GOOGL) partnering with Kairos Power and Microsoft (MSFT) with Constellation Energy (CEG) to restart Three Mile Island Unit 1 as technology companies look for clean energy to support future electricity demand for data centers, has a Buy rating on Curtiss-Wright shares.
