UBS raised the firm’s price target on Williams-Sonoma to $255 from $195 and keeps a Sell rating on the shares. Williams-Sonoma’s 6.8% comp in Q4 seemed to outpace the market, and having exposure to higher income consumers, combined with newness and sound execution probably drove the outperformance, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The company sees further improvements in its operating model and several growth opportunities that support its long-term guidance for mid to high single digit percentage top-line growth and an operating margin in the mid-high teens range, the firm says.
