The White House said that Stellantis needs to make good on commitments it made to the United Auto Workers union last year tot communities impacted by plant closures in the U.S., Reutters’ David Shepardson, Gabriella Borter, and Doina Chiacu report. White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said that the agreement reached between the union and the Chrysler parent “included a commitment to reopen and expand production in communities that were devastated by previous plant closures.” “What we want to see is Stellantis certainly deliver on those commitments to the UAW and to the communities,” Jean-Pierre added.
