TD Cowen analyst James Schumm initiated coverage of Waste Management with an Outperform rating and $200 price target. The firm names Waste Management its top pick in waste services as it believe investors have not yet priced in the future benefit from renewable natural gas. The analyst believes the company’s April 5 "Sustainability Day" could serve as a catalyst for the stock. Waste Management’s renewable energy strategy is underappreciated and will drive upside to estimates in 2024 through 2026, the analyst tells investors in a research note.
