The location data of roughly 800,000 electric Volkswagen (VWAGY) cars has been available online for months as a result of a data leak, Der Spiegel’s Patrick Beuth, Fluepke, Max Hoppenstedt, Michael Kreil, Marcel Rosenbach, and Rina Wilkin reported on Friday. The leak made it possible to view where vehicles were parked, the authors noted.
