Volkswagen (VWAGY) will meet with labor leaders for a fresh round of talks next week after the two sides failed to agree on how to proceed with the major cost cuts the automaker says are necessary to restore competitiveness, The Wall Street Journal’s Dominic Chopping reports. Both sides say the latest round of negotiations had been constructive, but further talks will be needed to find a way forward, Chopping writes.
