Citi lowered the firm’s price target on Volaris (VLRS) to $11 from $13 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The company’s 2025 margin guidance is below what it reported last year, the analyst tells investors in a research note. However, the firm says Volaris’ 2025 high-single-digit EBIT margin outlook is well above levels at which its U.S.-based discount peers should come in. Citi finds it “hard to understand why the market appears” to be viewing Volaris “through the lens of a distressed carrier.”
