Vital Farms mentioned cautiously in Greenberg ‘Red Flag Alert’

Herb Greenberg, author of the “Herb on the Street” Substack and a CNBC contributor, issued a new “Red Flag Alert” in which he discusses Vital Farms (VITL) cautiously. Greenberg, who compares Vital to Oatly (OTLY), which he says “quickly (turned) into a flop,” cites competition, pressured margins, an unproven ability to expand to other products, a “subtle but significant shift in its farm strategy” and “extreme valuation” as among the reasons he is concerned about Vital in a report that is behind a paywall for paid subscribers.
