Barclays lowered the firm’s price target on Vail Resorts (MTN) to $152 from $165 and keeps an Underweight rating on the shares following the fiscal Q2 report. The guidance reiteration is reassuring, but embedded back-end improvement against the current “shaky” consumer backdrop would suggest the outlook is “not fully de-risked,” the analyst tells investors in a research note. Barclays believes more important is next year’s pass setup, where it looks for “more of the same.”
