United Airlines (UAL) CEO Scott Kirby has called for an end to the Airbus (EADSY)-Boeing (BA) duopoly, telling “The Air Show” podcast that “I think we need more competition in the aerospace business,” Business Insider’s Pete Syme reports. Kirby doubts the potential of China’s Comac to become a world player, instead preferring Brazil’s Embraer (ERJ). Last month, Embraer denied reports that it is looking to build a new narrowbody jet to compete with Boeing and Airbus.
