UK CMA extends deadline for probe of Adobe’s buyout of Figma

According to its website, Britain’s Competition and Markets Authority extended its in-depth investigation into Adobe’s proposed $20B takeover of Figma by eight week to February 2024. The agency, which had an earlier deadline of December 27, launched a phase two probe into the deal after the Photoshop owner said it would not offer any concessions to ease the regulator’s concerns.
