Uber (UBER) is developing a new paid offering that allow commuters to lock in prices for frequent trips ahead of time, in an effort to compete with Lyft‘s (LYFT) popular feature of the same kind, Bloomberg’s Natalie Lung reports. The potential new feature would be called “price lock pass,” the author says, citing a review of the publicly available code behind Uber’s iPhone app. The ride-hailing giant has yet to announce the offering officially, the author says.
