U.S. environmental regulators said earlier, that seven energy companies have been impacted by an oil spill close to the Main Pass Oil Gathering systems in the Gulf of Mexico, “that is estimated to have released more than a million gallons of crude oil,” reports Reuters The almost 70 mile long pipeline was shuttered by the Main Pass Oil Gathering systems on Thursday morning “after crude oil was spotted around 19 miles offshore of the Mississippi River delta, near Plaquemines Parish, southeast of New Orleans,” noted the story…Publicly traded companies in the space include BP (BP), Chevron (CVX), ConocoPhillips (COP), Exxon Mobil (XOM), Shell (SHEL) TotalEnergies (TTE), Marathon Petroleum (MPC), Phillips 66 (PSX), Tesoro (TSO), Valero (VLO) and Western Refining (WNR).
