U.S. private equity groups have invested billions in data centers serving TikTok owner ByteDance, Kaye Wiggins, Eleanor Olcott, Owen Walker, and Demetri Sevastopulo of The Financial Times reports. Blackstone (BX), Bain Capital, Warburg Pincus and General Atlantic have all backed companies running Malaysian data centers that count ByteDance as a tenant, four people with knowledge of the arrangements told the Financial Times.
