More than 4.55M video game units were sold in the U.K. last month, a decrease of 3% over the same period last year, Gamesindustry.biz’s Christopher Dring reports, citing GSD data. The drop in November game sales is due to a weaker release slate for the month in 2023, as 2022 saw new releases such as Sony‘s (SONY) “God of War Ragnarok” and Nintendo’s (NTDOY) “Pokemon Scarlet/Violet,” the author notes. Activision’s (MSFT) “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” was comfortably the best seller in the U.K. in November, with other top sellers being Electronic Arts’ (EA) “EA Sports FC 24,” Warner Bros. Discovery’s (WBD) “Hogwarts Legacy,” Sony’s “Spider-Man 2,” and Nintendo’s “Super Mario Bros. Wonder.”
