US president-elect Donald Trump warned the EU it must begin buying “large scale” amounts of US oil and gas or face tariffs, Alice Hancock, Henry Foy, and Shotaro Tani of The Financial Times reports. EU officials have begun working on potential trade reprisals should Trump impose tariffs and European Commission president said the EU would consider buying more gas from the US. Publicly traded companies in the space include BP (BP), Chevron (CVX), ConocoPhillips (COP), Exxon Mobil (XOM), Shell (SHEL) and TotalEnergies (TTE).
