Tesla (TSLA) plans to suspend part of the lines producing its recently refreshed Model Y sport utility vehicle in Shanghai for approximately three weeks over Chinese New Year so it can more efficiently optimize equipment, Bloomberg reports, citing people familiar with the matter. Tesla began taking orders for the refreshed Model Y last week, with deliveries expected to start in March. The part of the impacted Model Y lines will be shut from around January 22 through February 14, while another area of the Shanghai factory that produces Model 3 electric sedans will be closed from January 26 to February 3, the people say.
