Chinese chip designers such as Tencent (TCEHY) are aiming to sell their AI semiconductors as alternatives to those made by Nvidia (NVDA), hoping that U.S. export rules will convince clients to switch over, Reuters’ Yelin Mo and Fanny Potkin report, citing four people familiar with such discussions. Other publicly traded companies in the space include AMD (AMD), Intel (INTC), Marvell (MRVL), Microchip (MCHP), Micron (MU), Qualcomm (QCOM) and Texas Instruments (TXN).
