Morgan Stanley initiated coverage of Talen Energy (TLN) with an Overweight rating and $243 price target The company operates the Susquehanna nuclear plant in Pennsylvania and a fleet of 11 gas and coal plants, primarily in the mid-Atlantic market, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm sees an “attractively priced core power plant fleet with multiple credible options for upside.” These include higher power prices, expansion of data center contract with Amazon at the Susquehanna nuclear plant and new data center contracts at Talen’s gas plants, says Morgan Stanley.
