Taiwan is in talks with Amazon’s (AMZN) Project Kuiper subsidiary about co-operating on satellite-based communications, The Financial Times’ Kathrin Hille reports. Technology minister Wu Cheng-wen told media on Tuesday that Eutelsat (EUTLY), which partnered with Taiwan’s state-backed Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) last year, was falling short in providing sufficient capacity for the country’s needs, and that Taipei is now exploring additional international collaboration, according to the report.
