Stephens starts ‘unsung supply chain hero’ SunOpta at Overweight

As previously reported, Stephens analyst Jim Salera initiated coverage of SunOpta with an Overweight rating and $10 price target as the firm rolled out coverage of five consumer packaged food and beverage “disrupters” it see being “positioned for the next era of food.” The firm calls SunOpta an “unsung supply chain hero and must-have partner for any brand looking to expand in the high growth plant and fruit based food and beverage categories.” However, for the stock to work, SunOpta will need to deliver on its long-term EBITDA growth forecast, the analyst tells investors.
