Stellantis is planning to shift production of some models made by China’s Leapmotor to Europe if tariffs on EV imports go into effect, Elisabeth Behrmann and Albertina Torsoli of Bloomberg reports. Last month, the companies said the EVs would eventually be made outside of China, partially due to rising global trade tensions, but now they may accelerate the plans because of the potential extra costs, according to CEO Carlos Tavares.
