A union representing Starbucks (SBUX) workers said baristas in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Chicago will walk off the job Friday morning and strikes will spread to hundreds of stores unless the company improved its wage offer, Noam Scheiber of The New York Times reports. The union called for the strike after discussions with the company failed to produce better wage gains. The strike is expected to begin in around 15 stores, a union member familiar with the matter told the Times.
