Spotify (SPOT) maintained approximately 55M subscribers in the U.S. in Q3 of 2024 and, of those, only around 607,000 have switched to a ‘basic’ plan, Ashley Carman of Bloomberg reports, citing reviewed internal data. Overall, most customers in the U.S. are remaining on the more expensive, default plan, which includes audiobooks and will be stripping away an ad format for certain podcasts.
