Sonida Senior Living (SNDA) announced that Tabitha Bailey will be appointed senior vice president and chief legal officer, or CLO, effective January 1, reporting to president and CEO, Brandon Ribar. Bailey will succeed David Brickman, who will be stepping down from his current role to pursue other opportunities after a 32-year career with Sonida. In the interim, Brickman and Bailey will be working closely together to ensure a seamless transition. To assist through this period, the company and Brickman have entered into a six-month consulting agreement pursuant to which Brickman will perform consulting services for the company for the period beginning on January 1 and ending on June 30. As chief legal officer and a member of the executive committee, Bailey will oversee all legal matters including corporate, transactions, regulatory and compliance. Bailey joins Sonida with public and private company experience. She was most recently chief legal officer at Avantax (AVTA), completing a $1.2B take-private merger with a private equity owned competitor.
