JPMorgan analyst Zach Parham lowered the firm’s price target on SM Energy (SM) to $41 from $54 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. The combination of record U.S. oil supply, the return of OPEC+ barrels in April, and global trade risk amid tariffs could result in a further decline in oil prices to force higher cost barrels out of the market, the analyst tells investors in a research note.
