Piper Sandler raised the firm’s price target on Skyward Specialty Insurance to $48 from $46 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares. The firm cites a beat driven primarily by a combination of better-than-expected net investment income and underwriting results. Skyward appears to have avoided problems this quarter related to investor concerns that the specialty commercial insurance business is becoming more competitive, Piper adds.
