While presenting at the Wells Fargo Consumer Conference, executives from Skechers said, according to a transcript of the presentation: “In the short term, some (markets in Asia) are having some challenges. Right now, as we all know, China is having some pretty severe consumer discretionary pressures. That’s a bit worse than we had anticipated. And certainly something they’re going to have to struggle through. But in the long term view, we certainly remain extremely excited about the opportunity in China and all of the other markets in Asia because there’s just so much room to continue to grow the brand.”
