Roth MKM says Intuitive Machines (LUNR)’ IM-2 mission arrived at the moon’s surface successfully but appears to have an unplanned orientation due to challenges in the final descent phase. The challenges faced in both the company’s missions indicate how difficult repeatable lunar transport is, the analyst tells investors in a research note. However, Roth is waiting to see what portion of the planned lunar mission objectives can still be accomplished and is “encouraged” that Intuitive is one of the earliest companies “to go down the learning curve in this important capability.” The firm keeps a Buy rating on the shares with a $20 price target The stock in premarket trading is down 34% to $7.42.
