Arm (ARM) and Qualcomm’s (QCOM) legal feud over the licensing of chip design is heading to trial, Michael Acton of The Financial Times reports. The Delaware trial is expected to last about a week and will have testimonies from CEOs from both companies. At the heart of the dispute is Qualcomm’s acquisition of Nuvia, which had a chip architecture license from Arm. At the same time, Qualcomm is one of Arm’s biggest customers, with its own license for Arm’s architecture.
